How Consigning Works

Ready to give your preloved wedding gown or formal wear its next home? Don’t want to deal with the hassle of trying to sell your precious dresses online? We don’t blame you. Let us do the work of selling it for you!

 

The best way to make a return on your investment is through consignment. We accept Bridal, Bridesmaid, Mother-of-the-Bride, and all special occasion gowns. We also accept gently used accessories and jewelry. At Dressed to a T, we work with you to get the fairest amount back for formal wear and/or bridal gowns.

 

Where to start? 

If you are interested in adding your dresses, formal wear and select accessories to our carefully curated collection, please stop in during our normal business hours. The best part is, you don’t need an appointment to start consigning!

 

What to expect
 

An experienced staff member will carefully evaluate your items. From there we will work with you to determine the best-selling price based on the condition and quality of the dress along with current trends, customer demand and demographic. We ask that if you bring any dresses in, make sure they are clean and free of damages. If we believe your items are a hot sell, we will ask you to sign our consigner contract.  We will then prepare your items for the sales floor. If not, don’t take it personally. Although we love the 80’s, there just isn’t enough room in our shop for those oversized shoulders and cathedral train gowns.

 

After you agree to the terms and sign the contract, we will add your dress to our inventory for guests to try on and purchase.  When your item has sold, you receive 40% of the selling price. Now that sounds a lot better than watching your dress collect dust in your closet, right?
